Amazing vegan 🌱 food that you mouth is just craving for.

Mein Freund und ich waren am Samstag beim Kochkurs von Chickpea. Wir hatten bereits zweimal in Da Nang bei Chickpea gegessen und waren so begeistert vom Essen und dem Konzept, dass wir unbedingt auch den Kochkurs ausprobieren wollten. Am Samstag hat es in Hoi An unglaublich stark geregnet, aber sobald wir ankamen, war das völlig vergessen. Wir wurden von der lieben Thu herzlich begrüßt und fühlten uns direkt wohl. Da wir die einzigen beiden Teilnehmer waren, hatten wir ihre ungeteilte Aufmerksamkeit und konnten uns ganz viel mit ihr über Vietnam, das Essen und die Kultur austauschen. Der Kochkurs hat uns unglaublich viel Spaß gemacht. Während des Kurses wurden außerdem viele Bilder und Videos gemacht, sodass wir jetzt viele schöne Erinnerungen daran haben. Das Essen war natürlich ebenfalls ausgezeichnet – und was wir nicht geschafft haben, durften wir sogar mitnehmen. Diese Erfahrung gehört definitiv zu den schönsten unserer gesamten Vietnamreise. Wir wünschen der lieben Thu und der gesamten Chickpea-Familie nur das Beste!

We had such a wonderful experience at the vegan cooking class at Chickpea Eatery! 🥰🌱 Thu was absolutely amazing — so kind, welcoming and passionate about what she does. We learnt so much, not only about Vietnamese vegan food and how to prepare delicious traditional dishes, but also about Vietnamese culture, traditions and everyday life. 🇻🇳❤️ The class felt so personal and relaxed, and it was lovely to spend time together and learn directly from someone who knows and loves Vietnamese cuisine so much. Everything we cooked was absolutely delicious, and we loved being able to understand the stories and culture behind the food. It was definitely one of our favourite experiences in Vietnam and something we will remember for a long time. Thank you so much, Thu, for sharing your knowledge, your time and your beautiful culture with us! ❤️😍 We highly recommend this cooking class to anyone visiting Hoi An, especially if you love vegan food and want to experience something beyond just cooking. 🌱✨

We attended the cooking class and it was brilliant. Thu was enthusiastic and helpful from the very first minute to the very last, 6 hours later. A must do experience when in Hoi An.

AMAZING!!! 🤩 this place was recommended to me by someone I know who happens to know the owner and I came one evening for dinner and it was so delicious I signed up to their cooking class the following day! The class was incredible!!!!! A full walk around the market, we tried a bunch of different foods in the process and then the cooking class was the best experience I could have hoped for. We spent hours cooking and laughing and tasting! Highly highly recommend!!

This vegan place is lovely. The Bao and tempe skewers are exceptionally yummy. The drinks are really nice too! They gave us complimentary passion fruit. There was a cooking class going on, looks very fun. Hope to try it one day.

As someone who lives vegan for ethical reasons, finding this place was such a pleasure. The admosphere is really nice and the food was so yum and flavourful! Definitely recommend checking it out!

Tried the cauliflower Alfredo and spinach quesadillas. Both meals weren’t that warm when served and the quesadillas were pretty bland. Had higher hopes based on the reviews. Have had much better vegan food elsewhere. Juice was good though.

Delicious food and such a serene atmosphere away from the bustling street. I really liked the menu design with your personal story behind the restaurant. Would have come back if I didn't have to leave tomorrow. All the best.

I had a wonderful experience at the class, Thu made extraordinary effort in ensuring we not just made the recipes but understood the food but the techniques, flavours, etymology etc. The market tour was comprehensive and detailed, i walked away having a richer idea of Hoi an, its history and culture. Definitely worth spending half a day here!

We made the cooking class with my girlfriend. The teacher is very good, she has a real passion for Vietnam, cooking and the people which makes the session amazing, i recommand 100% (even for the not veggies) ! The whole staff is very kind as well

Ordered by Grab. All very tasty except the hummus, that lacked the taste of tahin and garlic. Big portions.

We took part in a cookery class and market tour. It was excellent in every way. Hugely informative not just of the food but of the culture and history of Hoi An. The recipes were easy to follow and delicious.

Delicious!!! I came with my dad, who is a meat eater, and he still really enjoyed the Vegan beef burger. I got the Tempeh banh mi, which tasted just like a traditional one, but without harming any animals ✨ I got the Choco Lover smoothie, which was banana, peanut butter and cacao- it was soooo good, and filling! And my dad had the orange juice which was so fresh tasting. I really recommend this place and to support Vegan food places where you can! Cảm ơn 🙏🏻

Great vegan restaurant. The prices are cheaper than other restaurants in Hoi an and the food is great. The menu is so nice to read, tells the story of the owner. It’s in a small, quiet street a little out of the busy area. Had a great time having dinner here (:

Chickpea Eatery was one of those places in Hoi An we kept wanting to come back to. A wonderful little spot with genuinely delicious food and, most importantly for anyone with coeliac disease, a team that really understands gluten-free cooking and cross-contamination. We basically ate our way through the menu: the Signature Hoi An Vegan Chicken Rice, Traditional Food Tray, and Hoi An Twist BBQ Tempeh Skewers were all excellent. The flavours were fresh, vibrant and unmistakably Vietnamese, and it was amazing to see just how much of this cuisine can be prepared safely gluten-free without feeling like a compromise. The staff were knowledgeable, reassuring and clearly familiar with coeliac requirements, which made eating here feel wonderfully relaxed. Everything we tried was full of flavour, beautifully presented and made with real care. For gluten-free travellers in Hoi An — especially those with coeliac disease — Chickpea Eatery is an absolute gem and easily one of our favourite food discoveries in the area.

Wir haben eine Cooking Class gemacht und es war eines der besten Erlebnisse in Vietnam. Es hat so viel Spaß gemacht & alle waren so lieb & freundlich! Es ist bemerkenswert mit wie viel Liebe alle Mitarbeitenden ihren Beruf ausüben. Das merkt man auch an der Qualität der Gerichte. Man bekommt besonders durch die Markttour viele Einblicke in die Kultur Vietnams und die kulinarische Vielfalt. Würde es jedem ans Herz legen diese Cooking Class zu machen egal ob vegan oder nicht!!!
