Different menu Vietnamese and another country Plz check before bill
Unfortunately, this restaurant has two different menus—one for foreigners and another for locals—with different prices. I felt completely cheated when I found this out. When I confronted the server about the different pricing, he simply responded, “Why shouldn’t I charge extra?” On top of that, the food portions were extremely small considering the high prices we paid. The combination of different pricing and disappointing portions left a very unpleasant impression.
Mejor que cualquier restaurante turístico. Gente local, comida local super.
Ngon bổ rẻ. Ưng
Quán ăn ngon ở gần phố cổ, vị trí sát sông nên khá thoáng. Đồ ăn tươi, chế biến ngon. Hôm đến quán, ngoài canh ngao, bạch tuộc hấp gừng, nhà mình còn gọi 1 con gà hấp ăn kèm cơm. Đúng chuẩn gà ta sạch nên thịt thơm, ngọt nước, chấm với muối tiêu chanh ớt tuyệt vời.
Đồ ăn ngon, nhân viên phục vụ nhiệt tình. Giá cả hợp lý
After enjoying the spectacular Hoi An Memories Show, we headed to Gió Sông Restaurant for a late dinner by the river. Our original plan was to dine in Hoi An Ancient Town, but after multiple Grab drivers canceled on us, we decided to stay nearby and give this riverside restaurant a try. Gió Sông Restaurant is spacious and enjoys a beautiful location right beside the river. We were fortunate enough to get a table along the waterfront, which made for a relaxing dining experience. The restaurant is brightly lit with a mix of LED and neon lights, creating a lively atmosphere that feels perfect for enjoying seafood and a cold beer with friends or family. We ordered a wide variety of dishes, including sashimi prawns, clams, seafood fried rice, deep-fried frog meat, and several drinks. Overall, the food was enjoyable. The sashimi prawns were impressively fresh and sweet, while the clams were flavorful and well-prepared. The standout dish of the night was definitely the deep-fried frog meat. It was surprisingly tender, packed with flavor, and easily one of the best dishes we ordered. The seafood fried rice was decent but didn’t leave a particularly strong impression compared to the other dishes. As expected from a popular riverside restaurant near a major tourist attraction, prices were slightly higher than average. However, considering the location, atmosphere, and quality of the seafood, the pricing was still reasonable. Service was unfortunately the weakest part of our experience. Despite the restaurant not being particularly busy during our visit, service was noticeably slow. We often had to look for and approach our server whenever we needed assistance. Since we were dining with children, we requested extra bowls and plates, but it took quite some time before they arrived. Payment was also a little slow, as all cash transactions appeared to be handled directly by the owner, who was seated at another table. This added an extra step to the process and contributed to the overall waiting time. That said, if you’re looking for a scenic riverside seafood dinner after visiting Hoi An Memories Land, Gió Sông Restaurant is still worth considering. While the service could certainly be improved, the fresh seafood, relaxing atmosphere, and beautiful river views make it a pleasant place to unwind after an evening of sightseeing and entertainment in Hoi An.
Real deal.local loveliness Skip the English menu and google translate the local one. I just had a plate of grilled oysters for 90k and they were gorgeous.
GREAT riverside location and local food. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Hoi An.
I went with a Vietnamese friend. WOW, just a simple meal. Food was excellent. I had a seafood fry noodles. There are more seafood than noodles. You MUST make an affect to try the place. I will return absolutely sure.
View quá đẹp , đồ ăn ok ạ
Quán phục vụ tốt , món ăn nhanh , tươi ngon
Quán nhậu ngay bờ sông thoáng mát. Đồ ăn khá ngon
Ordered hot pot but there was no hot pot stove... The fish was very fishy and not tasty... The price of soft drinks is the same as in a luxury restaurant... Will not come back
Delicious 🤤
Unscheinbares Restaurant, direkt am Wasser gelegen. Fast ausschließlich von Locals besucht. Leckeres See, food, super Gemüse, große Portionen.
Wanted an authentic dining experience in Hoi An and got it! There are touristy restaurants all around but when we walked by Gio Song and saw only locals we were drawn in by the vibe. So glad we did. The food was fresh and delicious. Communication was largely through hand gestures and Google translate. Beer was free flowing and cold enough. 100% recommend!
We were in Hoi An in May and ate here four or five times. It serves an excellent selection of authentic Vietnamese food. There is a tourist menu in English and another for locals in Vietnamese, but don’t feel left out, the menu is comprehensive enough for most. It can be quite busy in the evening with locals, that’s why ate there. The grilled squid was good as were the small snails. We decided to try the hot pot although we didn’t know what to do but the helpful young waitress gave enough hand signals to get us started, it was delicious experience. The owner is a really nice guy who spoke to us a couple of times and on our last evening sent us a plate of scallops to try. As seafood lovers we couldn’t be happier. I visited with my wife and adult son who has autism, we felt comfortable and relaxed and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a real Vietnamese eating experience. Thank so much for your kindness. Just for clarity, the owner is the one on the right 😁
