Fantastic food, atmosphere, service - all of the above. It was really personal and the team was just superb. Highly recommend!
Lovely place with amazing service! Definitely recommend.
Great Japanese experience premium Wagyu stake was exquisite 🙏🏼
We ordered the course set, and the whole experience was impressive. The atmosphere was wonderful, the service was excellent, and all the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Every dish was incredibly delicious. Highly recommended! I love it at all
Fantastic food service and atmosphere all around . I had the teppanyaki set and added the tuna and salmon nigiri . Highly recommend !
My father ordered the lobster. Unfortunately, shortly afterwards he experienced vomiting and diarrhea. This has raised concerns that the food may not have been safe.
Magical. Memorable. Delicious. We did the extensive Teppanyaki with wine pairings and were absolutely blown away. The attention to detail. The flavors. The quality. This was a meal to remember. They don't seat many guests, so you really get to experience the kitchen and experience luxury service. This one will be hard to beat. We predict a Michelin Star this year.
Perfect end to our perfect stay at the Intercontinental Da Nang Sun Peninsula. Service was exceptional, atmosphere was very cool, and food was outstanding. Memorable in all the best ways.
The food was really top end quality, prepared as it should be, served graciously, all with a welcoming and engaging smile. Nothing can be faulted other than a high bill to pay!
Tingara, the only Japanese restaurant at the hotel. This place offers both omakase and teppanyaki, and during this visit I tried the teppanyaki experience. The ingredients focus on fresh seafood from Japan and premium wagyu. One of the highlights was the Premium Wagyu Yaeyama-Kyori — incredibly tender and flavorful, grilled right in front of you, which makes the whole live cooking experience even more enjoyable. The fried rice at the end of the course was also excellent and a perfect way to finish the meal. The design of the restaurant is another highlight. Created by Bill Bensley, the circular “bird’s nest” space feels like it’s floating in the middle of the rainforest, with blue fish mobiles hanging above and beautiful views of the surrounding greenery. If you enjoy taking photos, this place is definitely not to be missed — it’s incredibly photogenic.
It is difficult to overstate how poor our meal was. The one star of this review goes for the servers who were delightful as are all the staff at the hotel. We were 4 adults and were looking forward to go to the Japanese restaurant for our last night. We arrived and there was only one other table of 2 people there, which should have been a warning sign The starter of agedashi tofu was inedible and runny, and we returned it uneaten. The blue fin tuna was the only tasty dish. The lobster was really below average. One of our party is vegetarian and her main meal did not arrive at all, in spite of requests for it. The servers were apologetic. Even though the chef was right next to our table, he did not come over to apologize or explain. This restaurant is super expensive and really not worth it. We would suggest going elsewhere for dinner if at all possible. All four diners felt totally disappointed and dissatisfied.
Exquisite, fresh, incredible service and a fantastic view.. and an extensive sake and wine menu
Tingara is a spectacular restaurant within the Intercontinental Hotel complex. The interior and the view are very nice. The quality of the food is outstanding. We however think that the portions especially given that the prices are at the most upper end should be bigger. We were considering having a pizza after the dinner because we were still hungry. We together with one other couple were the only guests.
Delicious food from high quality ingredients. Service and atmosphere perfect.
Everything was great here. I ordered the standard teppanyaki set but I wished I’d ordered the more extensive set instead. Each dishes were done really well the chefs will show you the ingredients too. Only thing I thought could be better was the showmanship that we typically see in Japan. Some flambé etc would be fun - after all that’s what teppanyaki is about!
We recently had the Teppanyaki Experience Dinner Set at Tingara in the InterContinental Danang. The Highlight: The Premium Wagyu Yaeyama-Kyori Beef was the clear standout. It was prepared with a "crispy grilled" finish that gave the exterior a great texture while keeping the inside incredibly tender. If you’re a fan of high-end Wagyu, this won't disappoint. Other Courses: Hokkaido Scallops & Crab Soufflé: Both were fresh and served as light, flavorful starters. Soba with Sea Urchin: A nice touch having handmade noodles; the uni sauce was rich without being overpowering. However, I did think the soba could be more al dente. Dessert: The Chestnut Mont Blanc with strawberry sorbet was a solid, balanced finish. Sashimi 3 Kinds: This wasn't on the menu and was ordered separately. How can you be in a Japanese restaurant without having some sashimi! And it didn't disappoint! Fresh and melt in your mouth. Sake: We paired the meal with the Niwano Uguisu Oukara Honjozo. It’s a very dry, crisp sake that worked well to cut through the richness of the beef and the sea urchin. Overall: Excellent service and high-quality ingredients. A great choice for a special dinner if you are staying at the resort.
