I look for a place like this everywhere I go and I never find it.. the drinks were great with an amazing price, service was friendly, great seating on the river food stalls all around, truly the best you can get.

My favourite bar in Hoi An! I was in Hoi An for a couple of months volunteering and really loved this place out of all the ones I tried. It's proper Vietnam: small plastic tables and chairs and drinks served from a cart, parked up next to the peaceful river side. They have a karaoke system attached and are really generous with liquor. Best of all, the owners that run it are the loveliest people. They're always up for a chat, remember your face, and are super friendly and kind. Highly recommend!

5-Star Review – Bar Horse Slut, Hội An If you're wandering through Hội An's famous Nguyễn Hoàng Night Market, don't just look for the colourful lanterns. Look for Mun. His tiny mobile bar, proudly carrying the unforgettable name Bar Horse Slut, sits beside the Hoài River on An Hội Islet, right in the middle of one of the busiest evening spots in Vietnam. Every night the market fills with visitors browsing silk lanterns, street food, local crafts and souvenirs while traditional wooden boats glide along the river below. Then you spot the sign. Most people stop to laugh. Then they stay for a drink. It's marketing genius. Forget polished cocktail lounges with expensive furniture and dress codes. Mun has created something far more memorable. A handful of red plastic stools. An ice box packed with cold beer. A cocktail shaker. A smile that never seems to disappear. And one of the best people-watching spots in Hội An. Order an ice-cold Larue or Tiger, sit back and watch the world stroll past. The river glows with floating lanterns. Street musicians drift in and out of earshot. The market buzzes with life, yet somehow everything still feels relaxed. You could spend hours here without looking at your watch. If you're lucky enough to visit on one of Mun's karaoke nights, the atmosphere changes completely.
