Thai Airways Launches Direct Bangkok–Da Nang Route from December 2026
Thai and international travelers will soon have a more convenient option to reach Da Nang as Thailand’s national carrier, Thai Airways, announces it will operate a direct route from Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Airport) to Da Nang, beginning December 1, 2026. With a frequency of 2 daily round trips, the new route promises to strongly boost two-way tourism between Thailand and this central coastal city.
Da Nang is well known as an attractive beach resort destination, featuring long sandy beaches, diverse resorts, distinctive cuisine, and a rich entertainment system. Thanks to its close geographical distance, the city is ideal for short getaways for Thai tourists. Additionally, from Da Nang, visitors can easily explore famous cultural and natural heritage sites in Central Vietnam such as Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Sanctuary, and the ancient capital of Hue.
Thai Airways’ entry into the Bangkok–Da Nang route not only increases transport capacity but also enables travel companies to develop a wide range of tourism products: from leisure tours, group tours, and MICE trips to combined itineraries with multiple experiences. Notably, with an extensive network connecting over 60 cities across Asia, Europe, and Australia, Thai Airways opens opportunities to attract tourists from markets without direct flights to Da Nang, turning Bangkok into an ideal transit gateway.
The arrival of this star airline—a member of the Star Alliance—helps diversify the customer base and elevate Da Nang’s position on the regional and international tourism map. This is a positive signal for the city’s tourism industry in 2026.
