Da Nang Promotes Culture and Tourism at Vietnam Festival in Kanagawa
A delegation from Da Nang city, including representatives from the Department of Culture and Sports and Tourism, along with localities in the Hoi An area, attended the "Vietnam Festival in Kanagawa 2026" held at Zounohana Park, Yokohama, Japan. The two-day event, from September 12 to 13, 2026, provided an opportunity for Da Nang to introduce its unique cultural features, heritage, and tourism potential to the Japanese public.
The Vietnam Festival in Kanagawa, held annually since 2015, is an important cultural and economic exchange event between Vietnam and Japan. At this year's festival, the Da Nang delegation organized tourism promotion activities, introducing information about the city and the Hoi An area through tourism seminars and exhibition booths. The goal is to enhance mutual understanding and promote deeper friendship and cooperation between Da Nang, Hoi An, and Kanagawa Prefecture.
Participating in this festival not only elevates Da Nang's position and role in foreign relations and cultural diplomacy but also opens up numerous opportunities for substantive cooperation in areas such as cultural heritage preservation and promotion, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges. Kanagawa Prefecture is also home to a large community of Vietnamese people living and working, indicating the potential for developing cultural exchange and tourism activities between the two sides.
